I like Brannen and Gryphin. They're fun characters, and that is probably the only reason you get to see this piece. I wrote it several years ago, and it shows. Choppy phrasing, clichés like nobody's business, and a very worn out plot. There are a few turns of phrase that I really like, but that's about it.

I may or may not ever rewrite this. At this juncture it seems unlikely, but one can never tell. For now, enjoy a relic of my older writings, and hopefully it will help highlight improvements on my style.
